Ricordia Florida:
The Caribbean Ricordea is best known as Ricordea Florida and is predominantly found along the shallow waters of the Caribbean in nature. These creatures are supported internally by water, which in turn houses zooxanthellae within its tentacles or bubbles. The zooxanthellae is what gives the mushroom its color as well as a natural food source (supplemental feeding is still recommended). In nature these mushrooms are normally found in large colonies on rocky areas and are usually pastel in color. These dull colors range from red, pink, orange, yellow, to green, and blue with a green smooth mouth toward the center. As with all zooxanthellae creatures these colors can be darkened, enhanced, or illuminated by strong actinic supplemental lighting.
